Dark Flame Conversions was a modding team. The team had over a dozen members and released the Duke Nukem 3D: Atomic Edition total conversions The Return on February 7th, 1998, Total Chaos on June 19th, 1998, and The Realm of Grune on September 1st, 1998. The Return was an unofficial sequel to The Gate by the BDP Community. Total Chaos was only released as a demo. The Realm of Grune was later updated to version 1.2 through a separate downloadable patch on September 3rd, 1998.
