Summary[]
Duke Nukem is awakened in his hotel room by a cataclysmic event happening, seemingly out of nowhere; the entire city is collapsing around him! Beating a hasty retreat from his hotel room and ensuing hallways -- which are also all collapsing -- Duke eventually finds his way outside to see the aftermath of this event. What the hell just happened to the city? And who could be behind this?
Secrets[]
There are five (5) secrets in this map.
Secret #1: Needing to Vent[]
- Location: Flooded stairwell
- Method: Look for a section of wall that is translucent, on the surface of the water. Go through it all the way to the end of the ductwork.
- Reward: Armor, Ammo for Freezethrower
Secret #2: Window Shopping[]
- Location: Back door of the DoeNiezo Mall, just below where the Battlelord Sentry was sniping at you from
- Method: Jump on top of the trees just to the left of the mall's entrance, then carefully walk left on the narrow ledge, all the way to the window at the end, and jump through it.
- Reward: Shrinker/Expander, Ammo for Shrinker, Ammo for Expander
Secret #3: The Edge of the Abyss[]
- Location: Front door of the DoeNiezo Mall (where the water fountain is)
- Method: Head towards the collapsed building opposite the front door of the mall (where the Assault Trooper was shooting at you from), and carefully head down to the narrow ledge next to it. Walk to the right around this building to find your reward.
- Reward: Atomic Health
Secret #4: Roofing It[]
- Location: Just across from the water fountain area
- Method: Get on top of the bombed-out brick garage, then strafe jump over to the adjacent rooftop.
- Reward: Pipebombs, Ammo for Expander, Ammo for Freezethrower
Secret #5: Hidden Track[]
- Location: DoeNiezo Mall, "Federal Loan and Trust"
- Method: Use the button on the lower-right corner behind the checkout desk to open one of the posters on the wall near the entrance, and go through to the other side.
- Reward: Atomic Health
