Allen H. Blum III has been involved as a developer on all the Duke Nukem games released by Apogee/3D Realms (Duke Nukem I, Duke Nukem II, Duke Nukem 3D, & Duke Nukem Forever) directly. He played a big role in creating the first Duke Nukem game, having written the game's editor tool, designing most of the non-shareware levels and also working on the graphics. He was a level designer for Duke Nukem II. He was one of five level creators for Duke Nukem 3D and co-founder of Triptych Games (who worked on Duke Nukem Forever). He designed most of the levels in Episodes one and two and a few in episodes three and four. He also made the three demo maps for Duke Nukem 3D. Unlike every other level creator, he has made at least two levels for every episode. After leaving 3D Realms when development of Duke Nukem Forever was halted, Blum co-founded Triptych Games and at the same time continued working on Forever with other former 3D Realms employees. It was partly due to this effort that Gearbox Software were later able to restart development on that game. He was the lead level designer for the single player portion of Duke Nukem Forever. He is also the only person who has worked on Duke Nukem Forever throughout its entire production cycle of 1997-2011. He designed 4 new levels for the 5th episode of Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary World Tour, titled Alien World Order.
